Cheryl Cole Fight for This Love

X FACTOR winner Alexandra Burke has said her former mentor Cheryl Cole deserves to knock her own single off the top spot this week. The winner of last year's ITV contest is set to see her single Bad Boys replaced by Cheryl's solo debut Fight For This Love for number one on Sunday. Alexandra's single was the fastest-selling single of the year so far but Cheryl seems likely to break that record. Alexandra said: "Her performance on The X Factor was absolutely outstanding and I think she deserves it. I wish her every success. She just proves the point that if you've been in a group and you want to leave a group and you have time off, you can still be successful."

Cheryl Cole is also in for a treat from hubby Ashley if she gets to No 1 this week
with her single Fight for This Love - a ticket to see his film. Cheryl is now favourite to bag this weekend's top spot in the singles chart with her first solo song Fight For This Love and footballer Ashley says he plans to take her out to celebrate the success. He said: "We haven't made any plans yet but maybe I'll take her out to the cinema to watch my film." Ashley was speaking on the red carpet as producer of new Brit gangster flick Dead Man Running.

On a less happy note Cheryl Cole has been slapped with accusations claiming her debut solo single is lifted from an old Top 10 hit and some Pop fans have blasted the singer, claiming her first solo track is an obvious copy of Lil Star by US singer Kelis, which reached No3 in 2007.

The 26-year-old star has denied that the melody is stolen and claims there are no similarities as her single seemed ready to top the charts. Oter Mmusic critics have been more scathing, one said: Cheryl would never have made it into the live final of The X Factor , for which she is a judge - which is pretty rich, considering.'


When asked by Attitude magazine what was the best moment of the last decade Cheryl said: "When we won a Brit Award. We'd been together nearly seven years before we won a Brit and doing Wembley Stadium was amazing. We never thought we could get this far. We could only have dreamt it."

Peter Andre was seen beaming as his marriage to former glamour model Katie Price aka Jordan came to an official end today. The singer to be relieved that his divorce to wife Katie Price has been finalized, telling his manager and brother he has become a stronger man. Andre has also hit back at ex-wife Katie Price aka Jordan's claims of him having an affair with his manager when Price blamed her ex-manager Claire Powell for her breakup with Peter Andre.

Andre meanwhile has said “The only thing that has got to me through the whole divorce is missing the kids. It's torture." He has also denied reports that he called his ex wife's boyfriend a fag or a tranny during a recent row when the pair had an argument on the phone last week .

Britney Stalked?

It seems  Britney Spears has had  to call in the FBI after receiving a string of what is thought to be threatening mail.  Does Britney have a stalker? It seem that Britney is  going to collect the full package of "troubled star" issues,  There have been drugs issues, multiple on -off realtionships, custody  concerns over her kids, mental health problems and more so  the package really wouldnt have been complete without a stalker. The only thing we can hope now for Britney is that she doesn't go the full  way and complete the package by an early sad death. The way things hhave been going I am not sure anyone wouudl  bet against this though.

Britney Spears father retains control

A Judge in a Los Angeles court has extended Britney Spears' father's control of the singer's assets and estate for an additional five months.
Britney Spears' father had temporary authority over her assets and estate until 10 March but the judge extended this until 31 July.

Jamie Spears was granted "temporary conservatorship" over Britney's affairs in February. This followed her admission to a psychiatric ward. Britney is thought to have assets worth around $100m (£50.8m) although there has been speculation recently that she may be spiralling into debt.

Britney wants to control her own life again

According to a source it seems that Britney is to challenge her parents in court to try to regain some control over her affairs. The suggestion is that Britney is beginning to feel better and wants to make her own decisions but under the present arrangements she can be overruled by her father.

 

Britney is also due to appear as a witness in a battle to lift the restraining order against her former manager Sam Lutfi who was banned from going within 250 yards of Britney. Her parents sought the order after accusing him of drugging her with prescription pills and cutting her phone lines.

Lutfi claims the allegations are false and is said to have secretly contacted Britney via a third party to ask for her support. The hearing is at LA Superior Court on March 17 and it seems that he will argue  that Britney Spears had access to drugs from other visitors and fears her life is being taken over.
